Founded in 2007, The University of Dodoma is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the rural setting of the small city of Dodoma (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants).

 Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities, The University of Dodoma (UDOM) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. The University of Dodoma (UDOM) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
